I started speaking in my very first lesson, and reading and listening helped me feel brave enough to talk. The classes are fun because we talk about real news and culture instead of just memorising dry rules. It is easy to log on from home after work, and the teachers are very patient and kind.
3. Hamrah/Lingua Academy
The gist. This school sits near Zuidplein in Rotterdam, and they focus on helping expats and migrants learn Dutch for daily life and exams.
What sets it apart. They offer classes online, in person, or a mix of both, and they can help you in other languages like Farsi and Arabic. They also have recorded exam practice and simple reading classes that do not have exams.
Best for. Expats and migrants who need flexible times to study for integration exams or basic reading.
The teachers are friendly and professional, and they really helped me improve my everyday Dutch. I took private lessons and loved the clear plan, and the exercises were great and saved me time. The lessons were fine, but the office sent my bill months late and then blamed me for paying late.
4. Una Paloma Blanca Language Hub
The gist. This busy language hub offers both online and in-person Dutch classes, and they also teach eight other languages.
What sets it apart. You can choose normal, fast, or intensive group classes with nine students or fewer, and they also have private lessons.

I had almost no Dutch skills but needed to pass my exams, and my teacher gave me the confidence to pass easily. I was a complete beginner, but the active lessons made me start speaking Dutch in real life. My private lessons were very flexible, and focusing on talking helped me speak much more smoothly.

I was amazed at how fast I learned, and I could have simple chats in less than two months. The classes are tiny and active, so you get a lot of personal attention and start speaking on day one.

My teacher was very dedicated, and he even spent his weekends giving me feedback on my homework. The lessons were fun, and the games helped me feel brave enough to speak. Everything felt professional, and the quiet rooms made it easy to focus on learning.
