1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern customers of our language learning program (still in beta). By signing up, you agree to these terms. HearSay Learn is registered in Amsterdam, Netherlands as of April 1, 2025 with a KVK number of 96789905.

2. Eligibility

Customers must be at least 18 years old.

3. Product Details

Each lesson starts with a conversation between native speakers. The narrator will then guide learners through the lesson, introducing key words and phrases for them to practice. Learners will listen and repeat aloud after the speakers, and our spaced repetition method ensures that phrases stick over time.

When learners sign up, we ask them about their goals, interests, and current level. Based on this, we create three different lesson paths for them to choose from. After account creation and payment, learners will be able to play their lessons in our web-app interface. Lessons must be played one at a time, allowing for dynamic adjustments to future lessons.

4. Refund Policy

If customers are not satisfied for any reason, they must inform customer support within 14 days of purchase via email or chat and we’ll process their refund immediately. Refunds may take up to 10 business days to process.

5. Intellectual Property

All lesson content is generated using AI tools and remains the intellectual property of HearSay Learn. All branding remains intellectual property of HearSay Learn.

6. User Obligations

• Users must create an account to access their lessons.

• Users must pay to access their lessons. If payment is not completed, cancelled, or refunded, HearSay has the right to revoke access to lessons.

• Users must not misuse the tools to generate harmful, illegal, or offensive content.

• Users must not attempt to misuse, copy, or distribute lesson content.

7. Limitation of Liability

• While we strive to ensure that lessons generated by AI are appropriate and effective, we do not manually review every lesson before it is delivered.

• Users acknowledge that AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies.

• If users encounter inappropriate or incorrect content, they should report it to HearSay Learn for review.

• To the maximum extent permitted by law, HearSay Learn shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of AI-generated lesson content.

• We are not responsible for any interruptions, errors, or dissatisfaction with the service, beyond the agreed refund policy. To the maximum extent permitted by law, HearSay Learn shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential damages.

8. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands.
