My teacher worked hard and used great tools like videos and apps to keep lessons fun. The course was tough and well-planned, which really helped me focus and improve. Some teachers are much better than others, and the office staff can be hard to work with if you have a problem.
5. IKI Deutschkurse Internationales Kulturinstitut
The gist. This non-profit school has been teaching German in central Vienna since 1981.
What sets it apart. The school sits right across from the famous Vienna State Opera. It is an official exam center and runs free trips to museums and cooking classes to help you practice.

My teacher was a real expert who explained where words came from and gave us great feedback. The classrooms are big and clean, and the location is perfect if you need to go straight to work. The teachers are great, but some students in my group were in the wrong level, which slowed us down.
6. OSTARRICHI Sprachzentrum
The gist. The Austrian Federation of Trade Unions started this school in 1961.

The staff are very helpful and the course prices are fair. It is a very good school with honest staff, and my friend and I loved our time there. The teaching felt messy because they just printed random worksheets instead of using a textbook, and they would not refund my money when I left.

I had a great time in my German course and felt that I really learned the language well. The teachers are excellent, the classrooms are nice, and the front desk staff always help you out.
