Getting Started with HearSay on WhatsApp
Step 1: Scan the Code
Open the Camera app on your smartphone or tablet. Point your camera at the square QR code.
When a small yellow button appears on your screen, tap it.
(If your teacher emailed or texted you a link, just tap that link instead).
Step 2: Open WhatsApp
A message will pop up on your screen asking if you want to open "WhatsApp."
Tap Open.
Step 3: Send the Start Message
You will see a text box with a code already typed inside it (it looks like random letters). You do not need to type anything.
Simply tap the Send button (the blue or green arrow).
Step 4: Choose Your Language
After a few seconds, a Welcome image will appear. Tap the button below it that says Select Language.
A list will pop up – select your preferred language.
Step 5: Listen to the Conversation
The dialogue text will appear on the screen.
To hear the speakers talking, look for the audio player and tap the Triangle (Play) button.
Step 6: Continue the Conversation
At the bottom of the chat, you will see three buttons (Option 1, Option 2, Option 3).
Tap any one of them to continue the story, or type your own response to change the topic!
