# First steps: Where I'm from

> Listen in as Hanna and Diego talk about where they come from in real, everyday Swedish. By the end of this course their conversation will feel easy to follow, and you'll be ready to join in.

**Setting:** A bus stop on a busy street in Majorna in Gothenburg on a weekday morning. Hanna, who is from Berlin, waits here every day, and today Diego starts talking to her. They use du with each other.

## Lessons

### 1. Saying which country you're from

Hanna and Diego get talking at the bus stop and find out they are from different countries.

### 2. Saying which city you're from

Hanna and Diego name the cities they grew up in.

### 3. Saying where you live now

Hanna and Diego discover they both live in Gothenburg.

### 4. Saying which street you live on

Hanna and Diego work out that they live a couple of streets apart.

### 5. Saying which languages you speak

Hanna and Diego compare the languages they each speak.

### 6. Talking about countries you know

Diego and Hanna find out which of each other's countries they know.

### 7. Saying where your family lives

Diego and Hanna say where their families are.
