# Talking about Dutch cinema trends

> Listen in as Sem and Emma talk about modern Dutch films and movie theater culture in real, everyday Dutch. By the end of this course their conversation will feel easy to follow, and you'll be ready to join in.

**Setting:** Sem and Emma meet outside the historic Springhaver arthouse cinema in Utrecht during the Netherlands Film Festival. They strike up a conversation about the film selection and decide to grab a drink at a nearby canal wharf cafe to continue comparing notes on the state of Dutch cinema.
