# First steps: What I like

> Join Elena and Marcos for a Sunday morning of tasting things at the market, one short conversation at a time. Each lesson trains your ear until you can follow every word and answer back.

**Setting:** A Sunday street market in Madrid, food stalls at one end and secondhand things at the other. Elena and Marcos have been friends since school and come here most weeks. They use tú with each other.

## Lessons

### 1. Saying something tastes good

Elena gives Marcos something to try and he loves it.

### 2. Saying you don't like something

Elena and Marcos disagree about the soup, which he finds too salty.

### 3. Saying something is too expensive

Elena and Marcos find something they both like, until they hear the price.

### 4. Talking about music and films

Elena and Marcos find they agree about music but not about films.

### 5. Saying you don't like sport

Marcos loves basketball and Elena wants nothing to do with it.

### 6. Agreeing with someone

Elena and Marcos discover they both cook and both dislike shopping.

### 7. Making a plan with a friend

Marcos and Elena decide to cook together.
