# First steps: Buying clothes

> Master shopping for clothes by listening to Iwona and Adam's conversation about finding the right size. It may feel challenging at first, but by the end of this course you will be able to fully understand and participate.

**Setting:** A small clothes shop in Wrocław on a quiet afternoon. Iwona came in to look around and Adam is the only person working. They hold the polite pan and pani form throughout.

## Lessons

### 1. Browsing without buying

Adam offers to help, Iwona says she is only looking, and then she spots a jumper.

### 2. Saying what size you are

Adam looks for Iwona's size and finds one at the back.

### 3. Asking for another colour

Iwona asks Adam what colours the jumper comes in.

### 4. Asking to try something on

Iwona asks to try the jumper on, and Adam points out the changing room.

### 5. Saying something is too big

The medium is too big, so Adam fetches Iwona a small.

### 6. Saying something fits well

Iwona tells Adam the smaller jumper is just right.

### 7. Buying what you chose

Iwona buys the jumper and Adam bags it up.
