# First steps: Buying clothes

> Master shopping for clothes by listening to Julie and Anders's conversation about finding the right size. It may feel challenging at first, but by the end of this course you will be able to fully understand and participate.

**Setting:** A small clothes shop in the centre of Odense on a quiet afternoon. Julie came in to look around and Anders is the only person working. They use du with each other.

## Lessons

### 1. Browsing without buying

Anders offers to help, Julie says she is only looking, and then she spots a jumper.

### 2. Saying what size you are

Anders looks for Julie's size and finds one at the back.

### 3. Asking for another colour

Julie asks for the jumper in another colour and settles on black.

### 4. Asking to try something on

Julie asks to try the jumper on, and Anders points out the changing room.

### 5. Saying something is too big

The medium is too big, so Anders fetches Julie a small.

### 6. Saying something fits well

Julie tells Anders the smaller jumper is just right.

### 7. Buying what you chose

Julie buys the jumper and Anders bags it up.
