# First steps: Numbers, prices and paying

**Language:** Dutch
**CEFR Level:** A1

> Join Truus and Kees for a Saturday morning of prices and change, one short conversation at a time. Each lesson trains your ear until you can follow every word and answer back.

**Setting:** A fruit and vegetable stall at the Saturday market on the Binnenrotte in Rotterdam, busy but not rushed, with bread and eggs from the farm at one end. Truus comes most weeks and Kees knows her face. They use je with each other, as Dutch market traders do.
