> Listen in as Eva and Bram talk about recent mishaps, health complaints, and daily errands in real, everyday Dutch, based on Chapters 7 through 11 of [Nederlands In Gang](https://www.coutinho.nl/en/nederlands-in-gang-9789046905609). By the end of this course their conversation will feel easy to follow, and you'll be ready to join in.

**Setting:** Eva and Bram, long-time friends from regional maritime and water management circles, bump into each other in Rotterdam while dealing with various everyday mishaps and planning weekend outings. Over coffee in Katendrecht and walks across the city, they catch up on recent doctor visits, bicycle repairs, family birthdays, and navigating urban events.

## Lessons

### 1. Greeting a friend and making plans

Eva and Bram greet each other, decide to get coffee together, and Bram notices something wrong with Eva's hand.

### 2. Describing physical symptoms and timing

Eva tells Bram when her skin rash started, how poorly she slept, and how badly her skin is itching.

### 3. Reporting a doctor's appointment

Eva explains her morning doctor's visit and shares that the doctor diagnosed her rash as an allergic reaction.

### 4. Discussing food allergies and symptoms

Eva and Bram discuss strawberries as the possible cause of her allergy, as well as her headache and sore throat.

Eva describes the ointment and prescription she received from the doctor and confirms she picked them up at the pharmacy.

Bram tells Eva how much the repair cost, and Eva decides to take her own bike to the same repairman.

Eva asks Bram if he is attending Anne's 60th birthday party and reminds him after finding out he forgot.
