**Setting:** Efisio's car in Cagliari on a Monday just after lunch, as he drives his flatmate Giada to her afternoon shift at a hotel. Her cousin Davide lands tonight to look for work as a cook, but she works until nine, so she asks Efisio to pick him up and tells him what Davide is like. They use tu with each other from the first line.

## Lessons

### 1. Asking a friend for a favour

Giada asks Efisio if he could pick up her cousin at the airport tonight.

### 2. Saying whether you can make it

Efisio has a meeting before the flight lands, and tells Giada he can still make it.

### 3. Describing what someone looks like

Giada describes Davide so that Efisio can recognise him at the airport.

### 4. Describing someone's character

Giada tells Efisio what Davide is like, and Efisio offers to take him out tonight.

### 5. Comparing two people

Efisio asks if Davide is like Giada, and they end up comparing star signs.

### 6. Giving advice about finding work

Giada says Davide is looking for work as a cook, and Efisio thinks of a friend who could help.

### 7. Suggesting a dinner together

Efisio suggests a Saturday dinner for the three of them, and Giada knows exactly who should cook.
