# Nuevo Prisma A2, Unit 7: The dog in the park

> Master telling a story by listening to Aina and Toni's conversation about a lost dog she found in the park, which pairs with the themes of unit 7 of Nuevo Prisma A2. It may feel challenging at first, but by the end of this course you will be able to fully understand and participate.

**Setting:** A café near the design studio where Aina and Toni work, in Palma, on a Monday morning in October. Aina has a story from Sunday and Toni wants every detail. They have worked together for years and use tú with each other.

## Lessons

### 1. Asking someone to tell a story

Toni asks Aina about her weekend, and she has a story to tell.

### 2. Setting the scene of a story

Aina tells Toni what she was doing when she saw the dog, and what she did.

### 3. Describing an animal

Toni asks what the dog looked like, and Aina describes him.

### 4. Describing an object

The dog was wearing a collar, and Aina tells Toni what the tag on it was for.

### 5. Reacting with surprise

Aina tells Toni who the dog belonged to, and he can hardly believe it.

### 6. Telling how a story ended

Toni asks how it ended, and Aina tells him, with one small disappointment.

### 7. Giving a compliment

Toni notices Aina's new scarf, and it turns out to be the old lady's present.
