> Join Silvia and Chema for a Friday evening at a tapas bar in León, one short conversation at a time, pairing with the themes of unit 9 of Nuevo Prisma A1. Each lesson trains your ear until you can follow every word and answer back.

**Setting:** A small bar in the Barrio Húmedo of León at seven on a Friday evening, where every drink comes with a free tapa. Chema owns the bar and cooks behind it; Silvia comes in most Fridays and has known him for years. They use tú with each other from the first line.

## Lessons

### 1. Ordering a drink and a tapa

Silvia orders a beer at the bar, and Chema asks which tapa she wants with it.

### 2. Saying what you're doing right now

Silvia asks Chema what he is doing, and tells him she is waiting for her brother.

### 3. Proposing a plan

Silvia invites Chema to the party in the square on Saturday, he can't go, and she suggests Sunday instead.

### 4. Arranging where and when to meet

Chema and Silvia agree on a place and a time to meet on Sunday.

### 5. Saying what you're going to do

Silvia tells Chema what they are going to do on Sunday, and it doesn't include his bar.

### 6. Saying how you do something

Chema gives Silvia some tortilla, and she asks how he makes it.

### 7. Paying and inviting someone along

Silvia pays, and Chema tells her she can bring her brother on Sunday.
