**Setting:** A travel agency in the centre of Zaragoza on a Monday morning in October. Fernando Gil, who retired in the spring, comes in to book a week by the sea in November for himself and his wife. Esther has worked at the agency for twenty years. They use usted with each other throughout, as an agent and an older customer do, and she calls him señor Gil.
