**Setting:** The arrivals hall at Frankfurt Airport on a Sunday evening in June. Verena is back from a year at her company's office in Montreal. Patrick, her friend since school, has come to pick her up and drive her home. They use du with each other.

Patrick meets Verena in the arrivals hall and takes her suitcase.

### 2. Saying how it was

Patrick asks Verena about her year in Canada, and she is full of enthusiasm.

### 3. Describing your days there

Verena describes her daily routine in Montreal, in summer and in winter.

### 4. Saying what disappointed you

Patrick asks if anything was disappointing, and Verena tells him about her first flat.

### 5. Talking about your new colleagues

Verena tells Patrick how her boss welcomed her on her first day.

### 6. Saying what you missed

Patrick asks what Verena missed most, she names bread and their evenings by the river, and he has news of his own.

### 7. Coming home

Patrick asks if Verena wants to go abroad again, and she just wants her own bed.
