# Menschen A2.2, Unit 16: Booking a room by phone

**Language:** German
**CEFR Level:** A2

> Master booking a room by listening to Jörg and Renate's phone call about a weekend on Lake Constance, which pairs with the themes of Unit 16 of Menschen A2.2. It may feel challenging at first, but by the end of this course you will be able to fully understand and participate.

**Setting:** A phone call on a Tuesday afternoon in April. Jörg, from Essen, rings a small guesthouse on the island in Lindau, on Lake Constance, to book a long weekend in May for himself, his wife and their dog. Renate has run the guesthouse for thirty years. They use Sie with each other throughout.
