# Menschen A1.2, Unit 24: Planning a family party

**Language:** German
**CEFR Level:** A1

> Listen in as Theresa and Florian celebrate her birthday and plan their parents' anniversary party in real, everyday German, pairing with the themes of unit 24 of Menschen A1.2. By the end of this course their conversation will feel easy to follow, and you'll be ready to join in.

**Setting:** Theresa's flat in Bamberg on a Sunday afternoon in May. It is her birthday, and her brother Florian comes round with a present; he calls her Resi and she calls him Flo. She would rather spend the day on the sofa than have a party. Then they get to the real business: their parents' thirtieth wedding anniversary is on 14 July, and the two of them are throwing the party in their parents' garden. They use du with each other from the first line.
