# Menschen A1.2, Unit 23: A rainy holiday

**Language:** German
**CEFR Level:** A1

> Master talking about the weather by listening to Birgit and Thomas's conversation about a rainy week in the Harz, which pairs with the themes of unit 23 of Menschen A1.2. It may feel challenging at first, but by the end of this course you will be able to fully understand and participate.

**Setting:** A holiday flat in Wernigerode, in the Harz, on a morning in August. Birgit and Thomas came for a week's hiking, and it has rained for three days. Today they were going up the Brocken. They check the forecast, change their plans, find something free to do indoors, and Birgit writes a postcard to her mother. They use du with each other from the first line.
