# First steps in German for absolute beginners

**Setting:** Set in a lively district cafe in Hamburg-Altona, the story follows Felix and Lea as they meet regularly after a local language exchange meetup to practice their German. They keep talking throughout the course as they bond over navigating Hamburg's transit system, sharing their weekend plans, and adjusting to life in a new city.

### 1. Introductions

Felix and Lea greet each other and share how they are feeling today.

### 2. Asking where someone is from

Lea asks Felix about his busy day and finds out that he comes from Freiburg.

### 3. Talking about hometowns

Lea shares that she is from Bamberg, and Felix asks her why she is attending the language meetup.

### 4. Sharing your motivations
