# First steps: Where I'm from

> Listen in as Inès and Théo talk about where they come from in real, everyday French. By the end of this course their conversation will feel easy to follow, and you'll be ready to join in.

**Setting:** A bus stop on a busy street in Lyon on a weekday morning. Inès, who is from Barcelona, waits here every day, and today Théo starts talking to her. They use tu with each other.

## Lessons

### 1. Saying which country you're from

Inès and Théo get talking at the bus stop and find out they are from different countries.

### 2. Saying which city you're from

Inès and Théo name the cities they grew up in.

### 3. Saying where you live now

Inès and Théo discover they both live in Lyon.

### 4. Saying which street you live on

Inès and Théo work out that they live a couple of streets apart.

### 5. Saying which languages you speak

Inès and Théo compare the languages they each speak.

### 6. Talking about countries you know

Théo and Inès find out which of each other's countries they know.

### 7. Saying where your family lives

Théo and Inès say where their families are.
