# First steps: What I like

> Join Beatriz and Duarte for a Saturday morning of tasting things at the market, one short conversation at a time. Each lesson trains your ear until you can follow every word and answer back.

**Setting:** The Feira da Ladra in Lisbon on a Saturday morning, food stalls at one end and secondhand things at the other. Beatriz and Duarte have been friends since school and come here most weeks. They use tu with each other.

## Lessons

### 1. Saying something tastes good

Beatriz gives Duarte something to try and he loves it.

### 2. Saying you don't like something

Beatriz and Duarte disagree about the soup, which he finds too salty.

### 3. Saying something is too expensive

Beatriz and Duarte find a picture they both like, until they hear the price.

### 4. Talking about music and films

Beatriz and Duarte find they agree about music but not about films.

### 5. Saying you don't like sport

Duarte loves football and Beatriz wants nothing to do with it.

### 6. Agreeing with someone

Beatriz and Duarte discover they both cook and both dislike shopping.

### 7. Making a plan with a friend

Duarte and Beatriz decide to cook together.
