# Édito A2, Unit 5: At an innovation fair

**Language:** French
**CEFR Level:** A2

> Listen in as Bernard and Agathe talk about a clever new invention in real, everyday French, pairing with the themes of unit 5 of Édito A2. By the end of this course their conversation will feel easy to follow, and you'll be ready to join in.

**Setting:** A start-up's stand at a regional innovation fair in Besançon on a Saturday in November. Agathe, an engineer, co-founded the company and is showing a bin that sorts rubbish by itself. Bernard, a retired watchmaker, stops because he is curious. They use vous with each other throughout.

## Lessons

### 4. Talking about the future

### 5. Saying what will happen if…

Bernard finds the bin expensive, and Agathe tells him the price will come down and what happens if it breaks.

### 6. Imagining the future

Bernard and Agathe imagine a world where nobody sorts rubbish by hand.

### 7. Expressing hope

Bernard wishes Agathe luck, leaves his email address and tells her he used to make watches.
