# Édito A1, Unit 6: Planning a Saturday

**Language:** French
**CEFR Level:** A1

> Master planning a weekend by listening to Lou and Maxime's conversation about their Saturday in Dijon, which pairs with the themes of unit 6 of Édito A1. It may feel challenging at first, but by the end of this course you will be able to fully understand and participate.

**Setting:** A café terrace near the market in Dijon on a Saturday, around noon. Lou works early shifts at a bakery and has been up since five. Maxime, her friend, went out last night and has only just got up. They use tu with each other, as friends do.

## Lessons

Maxime arrives at the café, and Lou can see he has only just got up.

### 2. Talking about your routine

Lou and Maxime compare their Friday nights and their mornings.

### 3. Asking the time

Maxime asks the time, and Lou teases him about how much he sleeps.

### 4. Suggesting an outing

Lou suggests a photo exhibition at the museum this afternoon, and Maxime asks what it's about.

### 5. Saying no and suggesting another time

Maxime can't go this afternoon, so he suggests going out with Lou tonight instead.

### 6. Describing someone

Maxime says his friend Clément is coming tonight, and Lou asks what he's like.

### 7. Fixing a time for tonight

Maxime suggests eight o'clock, which is late for Lou, so they agree on seven.
