# Édito A1, Unit 0: Joining a local choir

**Language:** French
**CEFR Level:** A1

> Master signing up for a club by listening to Hanna and Gilles's conversation at a choir's stand, which pairs with the themes of unit 0 of Édito A1. It may feel challenging at first, but by the end of this course you will be able to fully understand and participate.

**Setting:** The forum des associations in a big hall in Rennes on Saturday 12 September, with every club in the city at its own stand. Hanna, who has lived in Rennes for three years and has finally found time for a choir, stops at the stand of a neighbourhood choir, and Gilles, a volunteer, puts her name on the list. The hall is noisy. They use vous with each other from the first line.
