# Dieci A1, Unit 4: A holiday flat by the lake

**Setting:** A holiday flat in a small residence above the lake at Riva del Garda on a Saturday afternoon in June. Lars has just arrived with his wife and two children for a week; Monica, who owns the flats and lives downstairs, shows him round. They use Lei with each other, and Monica says voi to the family.

## Lessons

### 1. Arriving at a holiday flat

Lars introduces himself, and Monica welcomes the family to the flat.

### 2. Being shown round

Monica shows Lars the kitchen and the living room and tells him about the bedrooms.

### 3. Asking about services

Lars asks about the wifi and breakfast, and Monica tells him where to go in the morning.

### 4. Talking about when you leave

Monica checks the day they leave and tells Lars what to do with the keys.

### 5. Saying something doesn't work

Lars finds the air conditioning in the bedroom isn't working, and Monica comes to look.

### 6. Getting it fixed

Monica says a technician will come on Monday, and she has a fan for tonight.

### 7. Saying you like the place

Lars tells Monica how much they like the flat, and she wishes them a good holiday.
