# Buying fresh food in Leiden

**Setting:** Emma is running a fresh seafood and market stall along the canal at the Leidse Markt in Leiden, where Sven has come to buy fresh ingredients for the weekend. Across the market day, Sven stops by her stall to pick out fresh produce, ask about local specialties, and chat about what is on offer.

## Lessons

### 1. Greeting a market vendor

Sven and Emma greet each other at the market and check how the other is doing.

### 2. Asking about available produce

Sven asks Emma what she has available today, and she tells him about her fresh fish.

### 3. Inquiring about items and prices
