# First steps: What time, what day

> Join Leo and Rosa for opening times and an appointment, one short conversation at a time. Each lesson trains your ear until you can follow every word and answer back.

**Setting:** The doorway of a small hairdresser's in Madrid in the late afternoon. Leo walks past every day and has finally stopped to ask; Rosa is tidying up between customers. They use tú with each other.

## Lessons

### 1. Asking what time a shop opens

Leo stops at the salon and asks Rosa what time she opens.

### 2. Asking what time it closes

Leo asks Rosa what time the salon closes.

### 3. Checking which days are open

Leo checks with Rosa which days the salon is open.

### 4. Finding out about Sunday closing

Rosa tells Leo the salon is closed on Sunday and shuts early on Saturday.

### 5. Asking for an appointment tomorrow

Leo asks Rosa for an appointment tomorrow afternoon.

### 6. Agreeing on a time

Three is busy, so Rosa offers Leo a quarter past instead.

### 7. Giving your name for a booking

Rosa takes Leo's name and they agree on Thursday.
