# First steps: What time, what day

> Join Grete and Kasper for opening times and an appointment, one short conversation at a time. Each lesson trains your ear until you can follow every word and answer back.

**Setting:** The doorway of a small hairdresser on Østerbro in Copenhagen in the late afternoon. Kasper walks past every day and finally stops to ask; Grete is tidying up between customers. They use du with each other.

## Lessons

### 1. Asking what time a shop opens

Kasper stops at the hairdresser and asks Grete what time she opens.

### 2. Asking what time it closes

Kasper asks Grete what time the shop closes.

### 3. Checking which days are open

Kasper checks with Grete which days the shop is open.

### 4. Finding out about Sunday closing

Grete tells Kasper the shop is closed on Sunday and on Monday.

### 5. Asking for an appointment tomorrow

Kasper asks Grete for an appointment tomorrow afternoon.

### 6. Agreeing on a time

Three is busy, so Grete offers two later slots and Kasper picks one.

### 7. Giving your name for a booking

Grete takes Kasper's name and reads the appointment back.
