# First steps: Where is it?

**Setting:** A street corner in Copenhagen a few streets from the park, late morning. Amal is in the city for two days and stops Ove, who has lived on this street all his life. They use du with each other.

## Lessons

### 1. Stopping someone to ask directions

Amal stops Ove in the street to ask the way to the station.

### 2. Asking how far somewhere is

Amal asks Ove whether the station is far.

### 3. Following directions to the station

Amal asks Ove to repeat, and he adds the next step.

### 4. Locating a bank by landmarks

Amal works out with Ove where the bank is.

### 5. Saying what is behind something

Amal and Ove work out that the station is behind the hotel.

### 6. Asking where the toilet is

Amal asks Ove where the toilet is.

### 7. Thanking someone for their help

Amal thanks Ove for his help and they part.
