# Anime Japanese vs Real Japanese

**Setting:** An izakaya in Osaka's Shinsekai district, where a local sweets maker drops in after work to discuss how foreign tourists are using anime slang. Over plates of kushikatsu, the veteran master and the confectioner compare notes on the wild Japanese heard in media versus the real-world language used in their shops.
